Maureen knew yoga before it was fashionable!
Her first class was with Friedel Khattab 40 years ago, Maureen has lived in many places over the years, finding classes wherever she went, from Florida to Vancouver Island.
On a weekend retreat in selfimprovement, at the age of 50, Maureen spent a few minutes at a sale table in Chapters Book Store in Vancouver and came accross a large picture book of yoga poses and in a flash she decided she would become a yoga instructor for her retirement years.
She researched and found the Teachers Training at Yoga for Today, Sherwood Park in 2001 and convinced them to let her join their program 2 classes behind!
Maureen has studied with a variety of teachers and she has loved every minute of her yoga path. She is specially drawn to Yin Yoga and love to share Hatha and Yin yoga with anyone who will listen!

Melyssa knew in her heart that being a yoga student and a yoga teacher was her calling, her life’s purpose.
It gives her so much joy to immerse herself into the universal knowledge of yoga, and to experience even more bliss by having the opportunity to pass onto others the treasures she’s learned and continues to learn from her beloved teachers.
As a former jazz instructor Melyssa understands the importance of connecting with the physical body; however, at a deeper level she always knew there was something missing.
Her search begun after having a car accident, which resulted in back surgery and the loss of her dancing career. For over a decade Melyssa tried to put back together the pieces of her soul and then she found the gift of Yoga. Yoga connects all the aspects of her being and allows her to recognize herself as a whole. Yoga gives Melyssa access to the Universal Truth that states that we are all interconnected, and ultimately, that we are all ONE.
Melyssa is a Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher and member of the International Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200, in adition, she completed her Teacher Training and was certified by her beloved Guru Friedel Khattab through the Friedel Khattab School of Yoga. She is also a Certified TRX instructor and a Reiki practitioner.
She has her Bachelor’s degree in Metaphysical Science through the University of Metaphysics and is an ordained minister with the International Metaphysical Ministry.
